Recovered Artifact — Book of Quotations

The hardcover volume is titled “Collected Words of Queens.”
A company pen lies across its open pages.
The section marked with a Nakatomi bookmark reads “Mary, Queen of Scots (1542 – 1587)”.

Several lines are underlined in blue ink:

“No one will ever know how much it cost my heart to lose you.”

“In my end is my beginning.”

“No more tears now; I will think about revenge.”

The last quote is underlined twice, the pen pressing hard enough to mark the page beneath.
A yellow sticky note clings to the margin in Maya’s hurried handwriting:

“Sometimes history gets it right.”
